PROJECT 2008/2011
The motel project is a trilogy composed by three rooms. Motel is an uninhabited familiar place, the room for secrets, lovers and whores, the shelter for murderers, the break for travelers.
The drama, divided into episodes, is the interaction of a limited number of characters within familiar and ordinary premises. The daily flow is interrupted by extraordinary elements.
The episodes are substantially independent.
The characters and their relationships are static: each episode’s event becomes the episode itself, restoring the status quo. The tale is always ‘somewhere else’. The drama is not on the scene. A radical change will happen during the last episode. This change represents a starting point for a new drama.
the 1st room:
Everything is clean, tidy and neat. The table companions are part of the scenario with the same accuracy. They are waiting for someone who is not coming or for something, which is not happening. The expected guest is late and the tension increases.

the 2nd room:
it’s evening time. Characters are “painted” in everyday situations. Everything is surrounded by a surreal and hidden restlessness, that suddenly comes out into the silence

the 3rd room: The gate
The setting is a motel cupboard. A narrow, tight, deep place where characters are leaving traces of what happened somewhere else. The audience can only grasp the reverbera- tion of an action. A fragment of something, which happened next door.
