goldroom by gruppo nanou is presented as part of Fuori Programma at Teatro India, Sala Oceano Indiano, Rome. Two performances: 7 and 8 July 2026, from 9:15 pm. Durational performance (2 hours).

goldroom is the second chapter of Overlook Hotel, a cycle of works investigating the relationship between body, image, and memory through autonomous yet interconnected choreographic installations. After redrum — awarded the Premio Ubu 2024 for Best Dance Performance — the project continues by exploring the perception of time as unstable matter.
goldroom evokes the ballroom of the Overlook Hotel from The Shining, inhabited by phantasmatic presences. A dispositivo of light, sound and vision constructs a space that shifts before the gaze.

The choreography works on the disorder of memory: fragments that compose and disperse. Images emerge, interrupt themselves, return as traces in memory. Time fractures: what happens now seems to have already happened. The viewer remains inside the transformation of a room that keeps on changing.
