On the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the MOTEL project, we publish the full lenght video of the last episode of the trilogy, The waiting room.
After the awards obtained with the first two episodes, with the productive help of Festival Equilibrio / Armunia and the then artistic director Andrea Nanni and by Schloss Broellin, gruppo nanou bets on the final.
The waiting room further deconstructs the dramaturgy of the first two episodes, dissipating the bourgeois interiors that had characterized the imagery of the choreographic project. The sets are transformed from “realistic” elements into visionary geometries and spaces.
The scenes, created by Giovanni Marocco, led the company to the ballot for the Premio Ubu 2012.
With the arrival of The waiting room, the trilogy is completed giving life to a show in three acts and a total scenic duration of one hour and thirty minutes. A minimal choreography written in the smallest detail to build a photographic sequence inspired by Edward Hopper’s paintings, then dissolved with this ending.
The waiting room touches important European squares such as Nu Dance Fest (Slovakia), Teatro Comunale di Vicenza (Italy), Unidram (Germany), Centrale Fies (Italy), and many others.
