Nanou's latest choreographic installation, redrum, arrives in Pesaro for the Hangartfest festival.

The title pays homage to The Shining, both the novel by Stephen King and the film interpretation given by Stanley Kubrick, evoking the idea of a non-existent but familiar place, capable of unleashing a disturbing imagination populated by ghosts and memories in which the border between reality, dream and desire.

redrum is a choreographic installation for five dancers and one performer in which the rules of the theatrical ritual are rewritten to transform the performance into a place to be inhabited: the choreographic action has no boundaries between stage and audience mixing the real with the improbable, transforming common perception and inviting the viewer to explore a world in which the boundaries between true and false dissolve, allowing an object to compose itself before the eyes in a unique and perhaps, if we are lucky, unrepeatable way.
In redrum everything happens, has always happened, and will happen again.

redrum is the first chapter of gruppo nanou's new multi-year Overlook Hotel project.
