The Giardino di Gualdo, the agreste setting of Crisalide Festival, is the space of an ongoing artistic dialogue between gruppo nanou and Masque. This year it hosts A Room with a View.
Geometric, compact, luminous — a golden parallelepiped in the field at sunset, a monolith that belongs to a different logic than the rural hillside horizon surrounding it. Inside, a figure inhabits it.
A Room with a View — from the Overlook Hotel project — brings into the agreste landscape the tension between human measure, its architecture, and the body that occupies it. The cube is a border, a constructed limit. The body is breath, weight, duration. The landscape, a third element: vast, capable of absorbing both or rendering both marginal.
The audience watches from a distance. A gaze that settles on an intimacy it cannot enter. A room with a view.
