On Friday, June 13, in the picturesque setting of Sarzanello Fortress in Sarzana (SP), gruppo nanou presents Paradiso [giardino] at the Fisiko Festival in Sarzana: a site-specific choreographic installation that transforms landscape into perceptual experience.
Paradiso [giardino] is an offshoot of the larger Paradiso project involving the three authorships of Nanou, Pirri and Dorella. It is an in-depth exploration of the rewriting of the theatrical ritual, the format of the theatrical ritual, its fruition and how the choreographic object is employed to inhabit and rewrite a place, for this occasion outdoors, in a garden.
Unlike Paradiso, here there is no access to immersion but one observes the action while maintaining a distance.
Paradiso changes form and enters into a dialogue with the natural environment: a delicate and contemplative reaction to the surroundings, changing the terms of a relationship and an artistic dialogue that aims to create a total, hybrid work that allows ephemeral visions to emerge.
This research paves the way for a new conception of choreographic art, which embraces all artistic disciplines and establishes a different relationship between performance, space and audience.
