An immersive week of choreographic research at the Foyer of the Ventidio Basso Theater, as part of Portraits of Artists - Dancing Paths, 8th edition.
From Sept. 1-7, 2025, Marco Valerio Amico, choreographer and co-artistic director of nanou group, leads Sottomarino, a choreographic workshop as part of Ritratti d'Artista - Percorsi Danzati (8th edition), organized by Being in Motion and Studio Aira.
Location: Foyer Ventidio Basso Theater, Ascoli Piceno
Hours: 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
The workshop focuses on choreographic composition through the analysis and compositional use of the body, space and time, proposing an immersive and collective dimension.
Participants will be involved in a rigorous and open process of exploration, based on the method developed by Marco Valerio Amico over years of artistic practice. Each day is dedicated to the construction of a shared choreographic system, writing in space and the elaboration of a bodily thought that becomes action.
The goal is to provide an environment for research and experimentation for artists with different paths in the choreographic and performance fields, fostering the exchange of knowledge and the deepening of body practices.
