Alphabet is the choreographic research time that Nanou dedicates to the meeting. The meeting is Nanou’s personal choreographic language verification tool.

To build of a personal language, to continue a path of linguistic research, it is necessary to take time and space to verify intuitions, transform them into instructions and, at the same time, take time and space to let oneself be surprised and guided by events. Alphabet is the action to share and affirm the need for an unspectacular time dedicated to empirical choreographic research, to verify the effectiveness of a practice and a language through the encounter.

From 2 to 6 August 2022, 28 dancers and 2 photographers met at the spaces of Artificerie Almagià in Ravenna to study and verify some thoughts on choreography, on the athletic use of the body, on the devices for use in the live show and on the stage photography.
The training and research path was led by the choreographers Marco Valerio Amico, Rhuena Bracci and Monica Francia.
