Lorenzo Pasini’s photographic memory of Alphabet et Ultra at Artificerie Almagià in Ravenna, in the company of choreographers Monica Francia and Francesca Proia.
We quietly began a new Alphabet et Ultra.
We were joined by wonderful people to study together: a meeting between different generations to create a community eager to investigate and discover artistic languages and somatic practices; a meeting with the territory that welcomes and feeds on experiences from other cities, formations and cultures because the other can be a possible horizon, the other is nourishment for one’s own land.
With Monica Francia and Francesca Proia we inaugurated the first stage by laying the first foundation in body practices.
Between now and 2025 we will carry out so many actions to make sure that Ravenna can highlight how much it is already a point of reference for choreographic research, for choreographic practices, for its own territory, for all of Europe.
We have to start from the studio, from suspended times and understand how important it is to open the work even when it is intimate, delicate, permeable.
We need to understand how necessary it is to open up choreographic and choreographic research in the everyday by making it clear and dialogic, finding its sense of community and collectivity.
