On the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the “Prima Stanza” Motel project, we publish the full video made by Giulia Fontanini.
It was December 8, 2008.
The company had won the “Fondo Fare Anticorpi” production award.
The Motel project was started, which would have engaged the company until 2011, producing three performances that would have given life to a trilogy, a real performance in three acts that marked the language of the nanou group and its relationship with photography and cinema.
A minimal choreography written in the smallest detail to build a photographic sequence inspired by Edward Hopper’s paintings.
With the First Room, the meeting with the light designer Fabio Sajiz took place that followed the whole trilogy and is still a collaborator of present and future projects.
Photographer Laura Arlotti followed the project entirely by winning, with her photos, the Hystrio prize for photography and presenting the shots in Lisbon for “Luz Negra” in 2018.
The First room touched important places like Unidram (Potsdam, DE), Les Brigittines (Bruxelles, B), Nu Dance Fest (Bratislava, SL), Centrale Fies (Dro, IT), Fabbrica Europa (Firenze, IT), Interplay (Torino, IT) and many others.
