redrum is a choreographic installation for five dancers and one performer.

The action has no boundaries between stage and audience: it mixes the real with the improbable, alters common perception and invites the viewer to explore a world in which the boundary between true and false dissolves, allowing the stage image to compose itself before the eyes in a unique and, perhaps, unrepeatable way.

The title, redrum, is an homage to The Shining - as much to Stephen King 's novel as to its film adaptation signed by Stanley Kubrick - and recalls a nonexistent but familiar place, populated by ghosts and memories, where reality, dreams and desire mingle.

gruppo nanou dance unleashes-through repetition, desynchronization and allegory-the oscillations of mental time and the plasticity of memories.

In redrum, everything happens, has always happened, and will happen again.

redrum is the first chapter of gruppo nanou's multi-year Overlook Hotel project.
