On November 14, redrum abroad for the first time, in Prague for the Istituto Italiano di Cultura. The industrial spaces of La Fabrika become the set for the choreographic installation awarded the Premio Ubu 2024 for Best Dance Performance.

redrum is a choreographic installation for five dancers and one performer.

The action knows no boundary between stage and audience: it blends the real with the implausible, alters ordinary perception and invites the spectator to explore a world in which the line between true and false dissolves, allowing the stage image to take shape before their eyes in a way that is unique and, perhaps, unrepeatable.

The title, redrum, pays homage to The Shining – both Stephen King’s novel and Stanley Kubrick’s film adaptation – and evokes a place that is non-existent yet familiar, populated by ghosts and memories, where reality, dream and desire blur into one another.

gruppo nanou’s dance unleashes – through repetition, desynchronisation and allegory – the oscillations of mental time and the plasticity of memory.

In redrum, everything happens, has always happened, and will happen again.
