goldroom is the second chapter of Overlook Hotel, a cycle of works investigating the relationship between body, image, and memory through autonomous yet interconnected choreographic installations. After redrum — awarded the Premio Ubu 2024 for Best Dance Performance — the project continues by exploring the perception of time as unstable matter.

goldroom evokes the ballroom of the Overlook Hotel in The Shining, inhabited by ghostly presences. A device of light, sound and vision constructs a space that changes before the gaze.

The choreography works on the disorder of memory: fragments that compose and disperse. Images emerge, break off, return as traces in memory. Time cracks: what happens now seems to have already happened.

The beholder remains inside the transformation of a room that keeps changing.
