With the title 2046, which recalls the number of the room in which the protagonists of Wong Kar Wai's film In the Mood for Love meet, gruppo nanou makes explicit the personal link between choreography and cinematic language, which has always been central to its research.

Camera 2046 is gruppo nanou's choreographic solo for Marina Bertoni, part of the Overlook Hotel project of which redrum was the first episode.

A presence with a hidden face appears and dissolves.
A seemingly ordinary character animates and disturbs space with his presence and actions, using light and shadow to shift the weight of space. It evokes everyday intimacy and abstraction, stimulates the imagination, and references the visual tension of figures in Francis Bacon's paintings.

The figure builds and dismantles the scene by moving a long fabric, which becomes a foundational element of the choreographic space.
The fabric determines the area, the color, the field: it is the field of action in which the body moves, shifts, oversteps its boundaries.
The actions performed suggest a familiar environment, evoking coordinates and context for the body's presence.
As in Hopper's paintings, it is posture and detail that generate drama, that make visible the intimacy and tension of gesture.
