THEM is a choreographic installation that relates to the video camera and the opportunity for perspective multiplication of vision through real-time audiovisual playback.
Winner of the Residenze Digitali 2022 award, THEM defines its form "in presence" while maintaining the experience of video shooting and live streaming.
Nanou has always been curious about means and ways to explore the language of choreography and investigates the use of video on stage in order to experiment with action cams and transform video footage into choreographic action.
The choreographic installation is a sequence interpreted by the dancers, repeated and rediscovered 3 times, it is "observed" by the hand-held video camera managed by the choreographer Rhuena Bracci, also on stage.
The scene is presented as a circular territory, observable from any front.
The connotation is that of a performance in a museum space of visual and contemporary art. The image is proposed as an action to determine an immersiveness in the choreography.
The three televisions reproduce the choreography in real time, multiplying the perspective and experiencing the vision through a rewriting of space in a different temporal unit.
